In practical application the similarity of the names for the reliability tests “Highly Accelerated Life Test” (HALT) and “Accelerated Life Test” (ALT) is leading to misunderstanding and confusion. To understand the differences of HALT and ALT a closer look at quantitative and qualitative reliability tests is necessary.
