Our current webinar on efficient life test planning

Statistical power analysis is used for planning of test in various research domains, but not in planning of reliability demonstration tests. This presentation interprets the probability of test success as power, to increase the significance of all kinds of life tests in reliability assurance. It introduces the R-OPTIMA tool that includes a variety of common accelerated and non-accelerated test strategies and shows its potential in application by enabling the consideration of application-oriented boundary conditions, such as a limited cost budget. Various results of the application of R-OPTIMA are shown, supplemented by sensitivity analysis of multiple relevant test configuration parameters and by case studies that show the huge potential of the use of probability of test success in application. Results from R-OPTIMA studies are used, to derive guidelines for efficient planning of reliability demonstration tests and show the potential of this tool. A final conclusive case study shows the simple integratability of R-OPTIMA into the everyday reliability processes and the product development process.
