Kevin Lucan combines research, standardisation and industrial consulting. In projects, he translates complex reliability questions into transparent processes, test strategies and decisions.

After studying mechanical engineering at the University of Stuttgart, Kevin Lucan worked at the Institute of Machine Components. As a research associate and deputy head of reliability engineering, he combined research, teaching and application-oriented industrial projects.
He contributes to the DKE/K 132 reliability committee and participated in the revision of IEC 62506 on accelerated product testing methods. This work brings the current state of the art directly into customer projects.
His doctoral research developed a methodology for determining representative load spectra. He also led a working group on standardised load spectra for commercial-vehicle brakes and helped transfer the results into a European technical recommendation.
Today, he supports companies with tailored reliability processes, risk and weakness analyses, test strategies, warranty and goodwill data, customer load data and Design of Experiments. He also shares this experience through seminars and technical presentations.
