This notice explains which personal data is processed when you visit this website or contact us. Personal data is any information that can be used to identify you personally.

This website is delivered through an external hosting provider. The provider processes data only as necessary to perform its services and to deliver the website securely, quickly and reliably. Where required, processing is governed by a data processing agreement.

When the website is accessed, server logs may process the IP address, access time and duration, requested URL, referrer URL, browser type, operating system, device information and HTTP status. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interests are technical operation, IT security and error analysis. Log data is deleted when no longer required for these purposes, unless statutory retention duties or a specific security incident require longer storage.

The website uses a technically necessary cookie called NEXT_LOCALE. It stores your selected language for up to twelve months and allows the site to direct you to the appropriate language version. The cookie is set as HttpOnly and SameSite=Lax and, in production, is transmitted only over an encrypted connection.

The website also stores your privacy choice under the name reltest_consent in your browser's local storage. It records your separate choices for “Statistics” and “External media”, a version number and the time of your choice. The choice remains valid for six months and is removed on a subsequent website visit after expiry. This means that we do not need to ask for your decision again on every page view.

Access to this technically necessary storage is based on Section 25(2)(2) TDDDG. Where personal data is processed, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interests are a consistent language selection and reliable implementation of your privacy choice. You can change your selection at any time through “Cookie settings” in the footer.

The inquiry form submits your name, contact details, organisation, subject and message to a server-side endpoint of this website. The information is processed on Vercel's hosting infrastructure and sent to the email delivery service Resend over a TLS-encrypted SMTP connection. Resend delivers the inquiry to our info@reltest-solutions.com mailbox, which is hosted on Microsoft 365. The email address you provide is used as the reply-to address for the internal inquiry and receives an automated confirmation of receipt from noreply@contact.reltest-solutions.com via Resend. Replies to this confirmation go to info@reltest-solutions.com. The confirmation does not contain the full message text. File attachments cannot be submitted.

According to Resend, message content and delivery logs are stored in the United States. For transfers to the United States, Resend refers to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses in its data processing agreement. Further information is available in Resend's GDPR information.

To prevent automated or abusive requests, we use an invisible control field, server-side validation, size limits and a limited request rate. For this purpose, the IP address is converted into a non-readable identifier and retained within the respective server instance for no more than 15 minutes. This identifier is not stored permanently by the form system. Independently of this, the server log data described under “Hosting and technical delivery” may be generated when the website is accessed.

If you contact us by email or phone, we process your information to respond and manage follow-up questions. Processing is based on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where the inquiry concerns pre-contractual steps or performance of a contract. In other cases, it is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR and our legitimate interest in handling inquiries effectively, or on Article 6(1)(a) GDPR where consent has been requested.

Data is deleted when the processing purpose no longer applies and no statutory retention period, contractual duty or legitimate interest requires further storage.

The Calendly scheduling service can be loaded on the contact page. The provider is Calendly LLC, 115 E Main St., Ste A1B, Buford, GA 30518, USA. No connection to Calendly is established before you give express consent. The website loads the embedded service only after you allow “External media: Calendly” or activate the scheduling area directly. This may transmit your IP address, browser and device information, access time and page URL and may involve cookies or similar technologies.

Loading the embedded service is based on your consent under Section 25(1) TDDDG and Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can withdraw this consent at any time with effect for the future through “Cookie settings” in the footer; the embedded service will then no longer load. When you schedule a meeting, Calendly processes the details you provide, such as your name, email address, chosen time, time zone and optional message, to arrange the meeting and send confirmations. Booking data is processed to take pre-contractual steps or perform a contract under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.

Data may be processed in the United States or other third countries. Calendly refers to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses for international transfers. Further information is available in Calendly's privacy notice. You can alternatively contact us by email or phone.

If you consent to the “Statistics” category, we use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to analyse and improve this website. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Without your consent, the Google Analytics script is not loaded and this integration does not transfer data to Google. We do not use Google Tag Manager, Matomo, advertising or remarketing tags.

Data measured may include page views, page titles and cleaned page URLs, the source of a visit, technical browser and device details and selected interactions: clicks on external domains, contact links and downloads, reaching 90% of a page, and a successfully submitted inquiry. For inquiries, we send only a general topic category, never the name, email address, organisation, phone number or message. Our manually triggered measurement events do not include arbitrary URL parameters or search terms; simple campaign labels may be included to attribute traffic sources. We use these measurements only for website statistics and performance evaluation. Google signals and personalised advertising are disabled in the integration.

After you consent, GA4 may set first-party cookies such as _ga and _ga_*. We technically limit their lifetime to 180 days without refreshing it on each page view. Your IP address is transmitted when connecting to Google. According to Google, GA4 uses it to determine approximate location and discards it before logging data in Analytics. Data may be transferred to Google LLC in the United States or to other third countries; Google refers, among other safeguards, to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses.

The legal basis for loading the service and storing or accessing information on your device is your consent under Section 25(1) TDDDG; Article 6(1)(a) GDPR applies to the processing of personal data. Consent is voluntary; the website remains usable without statistics. You can withdraw your statistics consent at any time through “Cookie settings” in the footer, with effect for the future. We then stop further GA4 measurement and remove GA4 cookies visible to this website. User- and event-level data retention is limited to two months in the GA4 account; aggregated standard reports may remain available for longer. Further information is available in Google's privacy policy.

The website contains ordinary links to external services such as RelTest Education, Springer, LinkedIn and podcast platforms. Simply visiting this website does not transfer data through those links. Once you open an external link, the privacy policy of the destination provider applies.

External videos, social feeds and maps are not automatically loaded as active third-party widgets in the current website.

Subject to the statutory requirements, you have the following rights in particular:

• access to your personal data processed by us,
• rectification of inaccurate data and completion of incomplete data,
• erasure where no statutory reason prevents deletion,
• restriction of processing,
• data portability for automated processing based on consent or a contract,
• withdrawal of consent with effect for the future,
• objection to processing based on Article 6(1)(e) or (f) GDPR for reasons arising from your particular situation.

To exercise your rights, email info@reltest-solutions.com. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the member state of your habitual residence, place of work or the location of the alleged infringement.

Where data is processed on the basis of legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, you may object at any time for reasons arising from your particular situation. We will then cease processing unless compelling legitimate grounds or the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims justify continued processing.

This website uses SSL/TLS encryption. As a result, data transmitted to the website generally cannot be read by third parties while in transit.

Data transmission over the internet, particularly by email, may nevertheless have security vulnerabilities. Complete protection against access by third parties is not technically possible.
